Our Mentors

DEP Director, Michele Constantino is perhaps best known in the area for her extravagant productions of Jamestown High School Musicals at the Reg Lenna Civic Center. She has been a theatrical director of young people for over twenty years. Michele is also a singer, actress, costume designer, technical consultant and designer, producer and playwright. Her original play Out of the Wilderness about life for young people during the Civil War premiered in July of 2007 at the Warren Library Theatre and the Reg Lenna Civic Center. She has also written Dear Mrs. Roosevelt (about the Great Depression), The River Is Wide (about the Civil War) and They Speak In Numbers (about the Holocaust).

Singer extraordinaire, Keith Buterbaugh, has become a mentor to the Drama Enrichment Program. After a stint on Broadway as the Phantom of the Opera and Raoul in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit, Keith starred in the National tour of the show. He also starred as handsome leading man Ravenal in the National Tour of Showboat. After a successful run in Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award winning Company on Broadway under Tony Award winning British director, John Doyle, Keith starred at Judge Turpin in the National Tour of “Sweeney Todd”. Keith is not only a world class performer, but a world class teacher. His Master Classes in voice are a favorite of area performing students.
